Abstract: An accident is a deviation from expected behavior of event that adversely affects the property, living body or persons and the environment. Security in vehicle to vehicle communication or travelling is primary concern for everyone. The work presented in this article documents the designing of an accident detection system. The accident detection system design informs the police control room or any other emergency calling system about the accident. An accelerometer sensor has been used to detect abrupt change in g-forces in the vehicle due to accident. When the range of g- forces comes under the accident severity, then the microcontroller activates the GSM modem to send a prestored SMS to a predefined phone number. Also a buzzer is switched on. The product design was tested in various conditions. The test result confirms the stability and reliability of the system. This paper proposes a microcontroller based anti-poaching system employing a WSN protocol, which is capable of detecting theft by monitoring vibrations produced while cutting trees using a MEMS accelerometer. A low power msp430f5528 microcontroller is used along with 2.4 GHz CC2500 trans-receiver to communicate to a central Base Station from a unknown location where activity is detected. Abstract: Since the effective and efficient system of water quality monitoring (WQM) is critical implementation for the issue of polluted water globally, with increasing in the development of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment, real time water quality monitoring is remotely monitored by means of real-time data acquisition, transmission and processing. This paper presents a reconfigurable smart sensor interface device for water quality monitoring system in an IoT environment. This paper propose a microcontroller based anti poaching system employing WSN technology, which is capable of detecting theft by monitoring the vibrations produced by the cutting of trees/branches using a 3 axis MEMS accelerometer. A low power MSP430F5529 microcontroller is used along with Xbee RF modules based on IEEE 802.15.4 Zigbee standards to Communicate to a central server from a remote place.
