Details : This work concerns an experimental study of the effect of Phase Change Materials PCM on the thermal behavior and electrical performance of a Photovoltaic PV panel. To proceed, an appropriate experimental setup is devised and two prototypes constructed and tested. Prototype 1 corresponds to a reference case and consists of a stand, a PV panel, and an electrical circuit with a given load. Prototype 2 corresponds to an enhanced case of prototype 1 with in addition a container at the rear face of the PV panel that holds PCM. It was shown that the use of PCM can increase the electrical efficiency of PV panels by an average of 5%.

Title : TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED BASED COOLER PAD USING ARDUINO

Title : POWER GENERATION THROUGH SUSPENSION SYSTEM USING RACK AND PINION MECHANISM AND COPPER WINDING

In this project, design of regenerative suspension system is proposed, for improving the energy harvesting efficiency. Mechanical motion rectifier is used to convert oscillatory vibration into unidirectional rotation of generator. Modal and Vibration analysis is carried out of rack and pinion system to identify displacement and stresses by using software, at various loads. Mode shapes are determined for each natural frequency. Title : DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A PARABOLIC DISH SOLAR COOKER

Details : The use of renewable energy, particularly solar energy, is increasing day by day to promote its contribution to national economy. Solar energy can be used in heating, drying, cooking and also for generating electricity. In this paper the design, construction and performance test of a parabolic dish solar (PDS) cooker is discussed. The cooker having an aperture diameter of 106 cm and focal length of 54 cm was designed, constructed and the performance was tested. Plane mirror was used as reflecting material in the cooker. The maximum temperature inside the cooking pot was found to be 97°C.As performance test rice and dal were cooked in various amounts at different days and times. Experiments showed that the temperature inside the cooker varies with the available solar radiation. The cooker could cook 300 gm rice and 100 gm dal within 40 minutes at an available radiation level of 320 -390 W/m². Solar tracking system is attached to the model, using which the panel’s will be tilted according to the sun movement to utilize efficient energy. The wind mill generates voltage during day and night time when wind is available .This is a prototype and we can produce 12v always and charge the 12v, 2.7.AHC battery through we can use for lighting purpose .Three hours is required to charge the battery (full charge). And a panel cleaning mechanism will be installed, which automatically cleans the panels everyday when the solar panel reached the middle position. That is, a DC motor with dfuster arrangement will swipe the solar panels once the light detecting resistor generates the signal in the afternoon.

Title : SOLAR TRACKING SYSTEM WITH PANEL CLEANING MECHANISM

Details : In this project we are acquiring the data from the light intensity senses. Which are then fed to the comparators, and then they are fed to the Microcontroller. The software is developed in the Microcontroller such that It collects the data from the comparators and then drives the DC motor either in the clock wise or in the anti clock wise direction. Here, depending on the light that falls on both the sensors, there will be a slight potential difference and this causes the Microcontroller to drive the DC motor till both the sensors gets the same light intensity and at this point of time the motor stops and thus indicates the correct location required by the software.
